The bar
La Rosa sits on the inshore end of the dock on Carib Bight, a covered palapa built out over the water on the quiet end of Roatán — well east of the cruise ship crowds. It's a bar and a restaurant, and most nights it's where the neighborhood ends up.
Music plays most evenings. A couple of times a month there's a live band or a DJ and the place gets loud in the best way. The rest of the time it's the sound of the water, a game on the TV, and whoever wandered down the dock.

"Come as strangers, leave as friends."
By road: Take Calle Principal east to HillTop Bar and Grill in Politilly. Turn south onto Jonesville Point Road (unpaved), continue past Mariposa and Blue Lagoon Road, then turn onto Blue Lagoon Road. We're at the end. Parking is on site.
By water: La Rosa is on the dock, so you can come straight in off the bay. Oak Ridge is five minutes by dory. If you're arriving under your own power, there's 8+ feet at the slips and two of them available to rent — details below.
Straight off the water, or straight down the dock
Not staying overnight but want to make an afternoon of it? We sell a day pass for the infinity pool and the kayaks — ask the manager at the bar for current rates and availability. Overnight guests get priority on the gear, so on a busy day the kayaks may already be out.
We can take the whole place private for a group — a wedding party, a reunion, a dive crew, a birthday. Breakfasts, set meals for the week, or a one-off dinner for your table. Pricing depends on the group and the menu, and it takes a bit of notice, so message ahead for a quote.
Staying at El Palacio Rosa? La Rosa is at the bottom of the property — dinner is a walk down the dock, and special arrangements for your group are easy to set up.

The slips
El Palacio Rosa sits on Carib Bight, midway along Roatán's south shore — a calm, protected bay well east of the cruise ship traffic at the west end. The dock runs well past La Rosa into deeper water, and we keep two slips out there for visiting boats.

The dock, the dive shop and La Rosa are all at the water. Up the stairs is the infinity pool, and through the backyard above it are the two houses — the Pink Palace and the Bay Suite.
This isn't just a place to tie up. Slip renters have access to the property's facilities:
Pool, kayaks, showers, gear rinse, parking and WiFi are included for overnight slip renters. Laundry, the restaurant, air fills and charters are priced separately. House guests get priority on the kayaks and paddleboards.
Carib Bight is a protected bay in the middle of the island, far from the cruise congestion at the west end. Oak Ridge is five minutes away by dory. Half a dozen restaurants are reachable by water — Hole in the Wall, Tiger's Bar in the Blue Lagoon mangroves, On The Rocks through the 400-year-old pirate tunnels.
El Palacio Rosa
The Roly Poly, twenty yards off the pier — and Carib Bight from the air
Carib Bight opens off Roatán's south shore between Oak Ridge and Jonesville. Approach is straightforward in daylight; contact us before arrival and we'll talk you in and confirm the slip.
The dive shop
Right under La Rosa. Tanks, air fills, gear lockers and rinse stations, the skiff and the boat, PADI certification arranged through local instructors, and deep sea fishing. Three reefs start at the dock, the Roly Poly is twenty yards off the pier, and there are 30+ dive and snorkel sites within fifteen minutes.
We troll on every long run, so a half or full day out is usually a fishing day whether or not you came for one — wahoo, tuna, mahi-mahi and amberjack. For large pelagic spearfishing we run to the shelf off the Honduran mainland, where the wahoo, grouper and jacks are a different size altogether.
Grouper and wahoo — both off the same boat
Every site we run, what's on it and what it costs is written up on the Roatán diving guide — rates, the boat, and all 18 sites.
