This is your next spot for your adventure on the island of Roatan!
Imagine relaxing after a day of fantastic snorkeling and island sightseeing to incredible bay views & epic sunsets over a quiet pristine bay surrounded by the Honduran jungle. Where can you make this happen???
At El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon. Come and stay at "The Palace" and see why we say, "Water. Jungle. Sunsets."
El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon is our three-story three-suite vacation rental with 240' of Caribbean oceanfront property on the eastern side of Caribe Bight (bay) on the island of Roatan. Each floor is it's own private apartment-style-suite with its own balcony/patio.
The top-floor is a one-bedroom one-bath suite with its own wrap-around balcony (the owner's personal suite), the middle-floor is a three-bedroom two-bath suite with its own wrap-around balcony (Vacation Rental), and the bottom floor is a two-bedroom one bath suite with walkout patio (Vacation Rental) - each just steps away from the pool, dock and beach.
El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon's 240' of Caribbean oceanfront in protected Caribe Bight (bay) includes its own small private sandy beach, beautiful dock/palapa, and a protected mangrove forest. Ocean access is right through the backyard past the infinite-edge swimming pool and over a small footbridge and then a flight of stairs to the dock (ladder) and beach (walk-in).
El Palacio Rosa is literally right next door to the mangrove tunnels and what locals call "Blue Lagoon" - a large and stunningly crystal clear lagoon book-ended by the mangrove tunnels. Barracuda, Permit, and schools of Tuna and Tarpon can be seen cruising the channel into and out of the lagoon's crystal clear waters. Kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, snorkeling, and/or scuba diving with 3 stunning reefs and a shipwreck all accessible right from the dock.
El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon is surrounded by dense jungle forest and a sparsely populated bay. Backed up against the forest you can hear the activity in the jungle. The property has SPECTACULAR sunsets from every floor and almost every angle. Watch eagle rays leap out of the water, turtles swim in the bay and dolphins proposing at the point - as the jungle sings amazing and beautiful sounds, and the crepuscular sunset rays reach across the bay as Class One dark skies arrive and the milky-way comes out.
Come and stay with us and see why we say, "Water. Jungle. Sunsets."

The Property
El Palacio Rosa is built with 10" thick concrete floors and walls, sound/noise between suites is "unheard-of" (see what I did there?). Enjoy "The Pink Palace" and it's "micro-resort feel" and what it offers. Together, both suites have beds for 14 people - special "two-fer" rates can be applied for renting both the 3BR and 2BR simultaneously.
LaRosa at El Palacio Rosa on Blue Lagoon is our large palapa and patio over our dock and dive shop and is our own private "event venue" complete with a full kitchen including several tables and equivalent chairs, a Blackstone Grill, gas BBQ and a double-sink. It is available for Family Reunions, Corporate Events, Quinceaneras, Weddings, Birthdays and other celebratory events. We can work with you to ensure your private celebration exceeds everyone's expectations.
Below La Rosa is our "dive shop" complete with dunk tanks, freshwater showers and several "lockers" for hanging your gear to dry after an incredible day discovering the bay - reserve one today and come and see how beautiful our palace-on-the-bay really is. Carib Bight has no homes over the water with 'island plumbing'" and only the occasional small boat eco-tour or water taxi. Our bay is naturally clean and an "almost untouched" exception in this are of the island - other bays have fleets of fishing boats and areas with "no-plumbing" residences over the water - surrounded by a Honduran jungle and a few homes.
With three incredible reefs, a shipwreck and mangrove tunnels right off the dock - it is truly beautiful. The host swims his one-mile "home-run" route over those three reefs and the shipwreck daily. Where does that happen?
Right here. Book now.
We have incredible views from every part of the property: sundeck, balcony, patio, yard and La Rosa (large palapa on the dock) - all facing the most amazing sunsets over a quiet bay night after night. The entire property has undergone renovations with new furnitures, fixtures, and AC.
While considered "east end", Caribe Bight (our oceanfront bay) is centrally located to accessing and experiencing the ENTIRE Roatan. The bay is spectacular with three reefs, a shipwreck and the mangrove tunnels & lagoon within swimming distance of the dock. The water in the bay is spectacularly clean and healthy - with few homes on the bay, no large fleets of large trawlers, and no "island plumbing" dumping waste into the bay.
We have kayaks, a paddle board, several sets of new snorkel gear, extra swimmer buoys, and a few tubes for our guests to share if you want to float/paddle/snorkel in the bay. From out in the bay all you see are beautiful homes spaced across the bay - backed into the privacy and quietness of the Honduran Jungle. And when you're done with your amazing day discovering the magic of our bay, it's reefs and its mangrove mysteries, there are freshwater showers and dunk tanks for you to rinse you and your gear off.
Inside our private "dive shop" we have 15 "lockers" to hang gear to dry and store. A few are used by the host and a few neighbors for storing their gear. If you're an experienced diver you might get invited to see the local's/host's favorite spots (two of them include world renowned "Calvin's Crack" and "Caribe Point Wall" - less than a 5 minute boat ride from our dock).
We take significant pride in what we've rebuilt the "The Pink Palace" into - and want our guests to experience its uniqueness, beauty both above and below the water, and central jungle location for themselves. Make memories here.
Getting there
We recommend renting a car, all-wheel drive during the rainy season. Taxi service is available, but not reliable. We can also line-up shuttles and/or tour guides that meet your interests and/or needs.
Calle Principal is the main road east on the island, take it to HillTop Bar and Grill in Politilly. The entrance to Jonesville Point Road is almost directly across Calle Principal from HillTop Bar and Grill (Signs at the corner include “Terrachula”, “Jonesville Point Marina”, and “La Rosa Bar and Grill”) - Turn South onto Jonesville Point Road road (unpaved). Continue on Jonesville Point Road past Mariposa and Blue Lagoon Road (and a “La Rosa Bar and Grill” sign is under the street sign) is on your right. Turn onto Blue Lagoon Road - “El Palacio Rosa” is at the end.
Several nearby markets for small convenience items and full supermarkets are just a few minutes away in Oakridge. We also have several nearby restaurants. Each bar and restaurant has a day of the week they have local musical talent perform as the sun sets. We enjoy music at "Trico Bar and Grill" and discussing current events with Captin' Ed and playing with Chewie the monkey at the world-renowned "Hole in the Wall" bar and grill. "Kristi's Overlook" is also awesome with great food and amazing views.
Local Tours and Things To Do Nearby
We are MUCH closer to several of the more popular tourist attractions than West End and have relationships with several entertainment providers including:
- Sloth, Macaw, Monkey and Native Rescue encounters as well as Jungle Zip Lining, Quad and Horse-Riding Tours.
- Fishing/Boat Tours: We can arrange with a few of the better boating and fishing outlets including if you're interested in going around the island or visiting any of the islands in the Bahia.
-We are 20 minutes away from beautiful Paya Bay Restaurant and Beach (clothing optional and phenomenally beautiful beach) and 30 minutes away from World Class Kite Surfing at Camp Bay.

Everybody should go to The Gym daily. We do, and a couple of times late at night too. The Gym has two toilets with sinks over the tanks (the toilets' refill water to save water).
Beneath La Rosa is our private dive shop used by our community dive club. New 80CF tanks, compressor, dunk tanks and lockers. Less than a few minutes from the dock are some of the best diving spots on the island: Pattie's Place, Calvin's Crack, Carib Wall, and several of our club's private spots - if you a current and responsible diver there's a fairly good chance you can join. WE like to dive.
A lot.
Note: We do not provide any divemaster services. Personal private instruction can be arranged with a rated PADI Instructor, please let us know if you are interested.
A dolphin pod lives nearby and frequents the mouth of our bay. You may see them from your patio porpoising at the mouth of the bay. They've even surfed the wake of the big boat a few times.
